If you are processing your LiDAR data in ROCK Desktop using a dongle (USB) license, you may need to update your computer so the dongle is recognized.
Once you have received your dongle (USB) license, you will want to download the program Virbox.f you do not have Virbox, you can download it here: https://lm-global.virbox.com/static/file/20241125/sense_shield_installer_pub_lcc_2.7.1.67493.exe
Once downloaded, you should open Virbox, and click on "Diagnosis", then the blue "Check" button. After running that test, click on "Dongle Driver Check", and allow Virbox to make any necessary repairs.
Once you have completed all these steps in Virbox, you will then want to make sure Windows Defender is set up correctly by following the workflow in this Knowledge Base article: Windows Defender Quarantine Issue with ROCK Desktop – How to Resolve. After that workflow has been completed, please restart ROCK Desktop, and plug in the dongle to your computer. You should see a blue light illuminated on the dongle.
Within ROCK Desktop, click on "File" and select "Preferences". Navigate to the "USER" page, and click on "REFRESH LICENSES", where you should now see your dongle license as active.
