Data Collection Settings with the R3 Pro V2 and R3 Pro
Altitude, Speed, and Overlap should be adjusted so that your survey is designed to meet the goals of your project.
Depending on your project goals, you will want to adjust your mission parameters for your LiDAR survey. The table below details ROCK recommended settings for common survey types when flying with the DJI M300 or M350 drone.
You may want to consider adjusting these settings in the following instances:
- Sites with dense vegetation should flown at a lower AGL and a reduced velocity.
- Sites like substations can be flown at a lower AGL and a reduced velocity if more vertical face data is required (building facades).
- Highway corridors should be flow in the linear direction of the corridor.
- Transmission corridors should be flown at a lower AGL and reduced velocity and parallel to the lines/wires if individual power lines and wire data is needed.
