Understanding 2D vs. 3D Planimetric Deliverables
ROCK Planimetrics offer two formats:
- 3D Planimetrics for Symbol 3D applications, available in DWG and DXF formats.
- 2D Planimetrics for mapping programs like ESRI ArcMap or QGIS, available as shapefile formats (.shp, .shx, .prj, and .cpg).
How to Download Your Preferred Data Format
- Access Your Data
After processing, visit your project on the ROCK Cloud platform. - Select Data Type
- For 3D data, download DWG or DXF files.
- For 2D data, download shapefile components (e.g., .shp, .shx, .prj).
Note: Make sure you download all components of the shapefile (e.g., .cpg, .shx) for a complete 2D dataset.
- Integrate with Your Software
Import these files into compatible platforms, such as ESRI ArcMap or QGIS for 2D files, and Symbol 3D for 3D Planimetrics.
