Knowing your ROCK LiDAR firmware version is important for ensuring your hardware is up-to-date and running optimally.
Method 1: Using the Processing Report
The easiest way to check your firmware is by looking at the Processing Report from a recent dataset:

If you processed in ROCK Desktop and uploaded to ROCK Cloud – The Processing Report is automatically included in your project files.
- If you’re in your project on ROCK Cloud, click the Processing Report icon on the right side of the screen. The firmware version will be listed in the General Information section.
OR -
Navigate to your dataset folder, then open the
processed
subfolder. -
Locate and open the HTML file named Processing Report., the firmware version is displayed in the General Information section.
Method 2: Using the device_info.json
File
If you don’t have a Processing Report, you can check firmware details directly from your dataset folder:

Open the dataset folder on your storage drive.

Locate the file named
device_info.json
. -
Open it in a text editor and scroll to the bottom.

Look for
service_version
— this is your firmware version.
