How to get logs from your ROCK Ultra LiDAR unit

Your ROCK Ultra hardware log files can be helpful to diagnose any hardware issues your ROCK Ultra LiDAR unit may be experiencing.

Step-by-Step Instructions

To obtain the logs from your ROCK Ultra, follow these steps:

  1. Prepare Your USB Drive:

    • Plug in the USB drive from your Ultra into a computer.  
    • Create a new folder named "logs" (case sensitive).
  2. Collect the Logs:

    • When you turn on your Ultra, it will write the unit's log files to the logs folder.
    • Look for a .enc file in the logs.  This file is encrypted.
  3. Send the Logs for Support:

    • Email the .enc file to the Rock Support Team at support@rockrobotic.com.
    • The support team will examine the file and help diagnose any issues.
