      Insta360 Settings for V2 SLAM Setup

       

      ROCK wants to ensure that everyone using the V2 SLAM data collection setup has the correct Insta360 camera settings. Proper settings are crucial for accurate extrinsic calibration. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get it right.

      Setting Up Your Insta360 Camera

      1. Switch to Video Mode

        • Ensure your Insta360 camera is in video mode.

      2. Adjust Resolution and Frame Rate

        • Tap on the settings icon.
        • Set the resolution to 6K.
        • Set the frame rate to 30.

      3. Verify Settings

        • Confirm that your camera display shows 6K with 2 over 1 above it and 30 below it.

      • Regular Checks: Regularly check your camera settings before each use to ensure they haven't changed.
      • Firmware Updates: Keep your Insta360 camera firmware up to date for optimal performance.
