Download in "Compatibility Mode". The default las / laz spec for LiDAR files on the Rock Cloud is [LAS 1.4 (Nov 2011)](https://www.asprs.org/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/LAS_1_4_r13.pdf). Some LiDAR software vendors have yet to upgrade to this spec and are on the older[LAS 1.2 (Sep 2008)](https://www.asprs.org/a/society/committees/standards/asprs_las_format_v12.pdf) spec.
