How to Perform Battery Hot Swaps & Pause/Resume Flight Missions with ROCK Pilot

Managing long missions just got easier with ROCK Pilot. Here’s how to safely pause your flight, hot swap batteries, and resume your mission—all without losing progress.

🔧 Step-by-Step: Performing a Battery Hot Swap

1. Hold the Return to Home (RTH) button on your DJI controller at any time during your mission.

   

   The drone will:

   • Pause the mission

   • Mark a breakpoint

   • Return to home and land

💡 A breakpoint saves the mission progress so you can pick up where you left off.

2.   Swap batteries immediately upon landing.

  • ⏱️ Limit ground time to under 1 minute to avoid processing errors in ROCK Desktop

1. 1. Press Play on the right side of the ROCK Pilot screen.

      

   2. Choose the desired option:

      

   3. Click "upload flight line" on the following Mission Preparation screen.
