How to Shift Your Point Cloud in ROCK Cloud

If you’re looking to uniformly shift your point cloud without using ground control points (GCPs), ROCK Cloud offers a simple solution. Here’s how you can make the adjustment:

Steps to Shift Your Point Cloud in ROCK Cloud

  1. Navigate to the Dataset

    • Open your dataset in ROCK Cloud.
    • Locate the Navigate Icon (the fourth icon from the bottom in the interface).

  2. Apply the Shift

    • Select the Move option within the navigation tools.
    • Input the desired shift value in the X, Y, or Z direction. For a vertical shift, adjust the Z-axis value.

  3. Save the Changes

    • After making the adjustments, click the Save Icon to apply and save the changes to your dataset.

Tip: Ensure you double-check the shift values before saving to avoid any unintended modifications.
