ROCK Desktop - Order ROCK Processing for your LiDAR Dataset

ROCK now offers you the option to upload your LiDAR dataset, and let ROCK process the dataset for you.

When you don’t have the time or resources to process your LiDAR data, ROCK offers a convenient “Have ROCK Process” option directly in ROCK Desktop. Here’s how to use it from start to finish.

🧭 Overview

This workflow allows you to:

  • Upload your dataset from ROCK Desktop

  • Select “Have ROCK Process”

  • Let the ROCK team handle the heavy lifting for you

⚙️ Step-by-Step Workflow

  1. Upload Your Dataset in ROCK Desktop

    • Open your dataset in ROCK Desktop.

    • Select your base station file (RINEX  format).

    • Check the option “Have ROCK Process”.

  2. Upload for Processing

    • Click Upload for Processing.

    • ROCK Desktop will:

      • PPK + Photogrammetry – adds colorization + orthophoto

      • SLAM Processing – for walking datasets (optionally colorized)

      • Mobile Processing – for vehicle-mounted LiDAR

    • Select turnaround:

      • Standard (1–2 days)

      • Expedited (12–24 hours)

  5. Review Duration and Cost

    • Processing costs are tied to dataset duration.

    • Typical pricing examples:

      • PPK Only: Starting at $180

      • PPK + Photogrammetry: Starting at $300

      • SLAM Processing: Starting at $400
      • Mobile Processing: Starting at $700
      • Additional minutes billed incrementally.
