ROCK Ultra - LiDAR Protection Setting

Before flying the first flight with your ROCK Ultra unit, you will want to make sure that the LiDAR Protection setting is turned off.

Before your first flight with a ROCK Ultra unit you will want to check your settings, specifically the "Enable LiDAR Protection" Setting.  To do this you will need to install ROCK Pilot on either your RC or a tablet.  Once installed, connect your ROCK Ultra to a drone and power the unit on.  Once connected to the LiDAR unit navigate to the settings by tapping on the three dots in the upper right corner of the screen.

Tap on the "Settings" Icon that looks like a gear, then tap of "Laser Scanner"

Change the "Enable LiDAR protection settings to "No"

If you do not change this setting before the first flight, you will find that the "Lidar1" folder will be empty even though there is data saved in the Cam1 and POS folders.
