What to Do After Receiving an “Unknown Error” in ROCK Desktop
If you’ve received an “unknown error” while processing a dataset in ROCK Desktop, don’t worry—it’s usually easy to clear and retry. This guide outlines exactly what to do to get back on track.
Step-by-Step Instructions to Resolve the Error
-
Close ROCK Desktop completely.
-
Reopen ROCK Desktop and load your project folder again.
-
In the bottom-right corner of the interface, click the Reset button.
-
A pop-up will ask for confirmation. Click Reset My Data.
-
Wait for the “Done” notification to appear.
-
Reload your project folder once again and try processing the dataset from the beginning.
This reset does not delete your raw LiDAR data. It simply clears out previously generated intermediate files that could be causing conflicts.
If you're still encountering issues after resetting, please contact support@rockrobotic.ocm for additional support.
