My base station fell over or didn't log data, what do I do?

You can try using another Continually Operating Reference Station as your base station file.

A base station is required to log GNSS data during LiDAR data collection. If your base station failed to record data you have two options:

1) Re-fly, or

2) Use an alternative base station.

Use an Alternative Base Station

All around the world there are continually operating GNSS receivers logging data. Some of these reference stations offer their RINEX data as a public service. Below are a list of known networks where you may find base station data:

  1. NOAA CORS
  2. unavco.org
  3. MAGNET

NOTE:

  1. Download and use RINEX data,
  2. The data needs to be logged at a one second (1 Hz) interval, and
  3. The reference station needs to be within 30KM of your flight location
