Options for Establishing a Known Point and Obtaining Ground Control Points (GCPs)

Here are our recommended methods for defining your known point needed to tie your point cloud to Earth for accuracy.

1. Capture the points with your EMLID via the ROCK Base Network

   • Buy a ROCK Base Station HERE!
2. Get the points from a Registered Land Surveyor
   
   • Make sure they provide you with the point that you'll set the Reach up on in Latitude/Longitude and Ellipsoidal Height (including the coordinate reference system they collected the point in).
     
     
3. Capture the points with your EMLID via an NTRIP Network
